Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- This position is budgeted for 15 hours/week, with a varied schedule.
Role Summary
As a Occupational Therapist, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:
- Provide direct intervention in the child's natural environment; home, at a center-based site, school, or hospital. Coordinate scheduling to meet the needs of the family, ensuring weekly visits are met as authorized by the Regional Center or school district.
- Provide comprehensive case management services to assist children with delays or disabilities and their families in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, developmental, and other appropriate services at the frequency determined by program expectations.
- Participates in the development and implementation of each child’s Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Education Plan (IEP) in collaboration with the family and education team, providing progress reports as required by each Regional Center or Local Education Agency.
- Works with families to develop a curriculum appropriate for the unique learning needs of their child with vision impairment or multiple disabilities within natural daily routines.
- Promote function, learning, and development across all domains, with an emphasis on adaptive behavior, self-help skills, fine and gross motor development, postural development, mobility, sensory development, behavior, play and oral motor functioning, as related to the Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Completes and maintains client case files and client database, including Face Sheet, Case Notes, intake forms, Developmental Profile, Family Program Plan, Physician Reports, Correspondence, Reports of Medical Visits, IFSPs, IEPs, assessments, and Medi-Cal documentation.
Education and Credentials
- A master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program. The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) should accredit the program.
- California Occupational Therapy state licensure is current and in good standing.
- Minimum one year experience as an occupational therapist, working with infants/children.
- Familiarity with services available to infants, children, and their families.
- Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.
- Valid CA Driver License. Willingness and ability to make frequent field visits, attend meetings, conferences and other job related events away from headquarters. If driving a personal vehicle, must be approved by our agency’s automobile insurance carrier.
